Introduction to the Gustave UniverseThe central theme of this universe is the Gustave Station, a huge space station proposed and built by Vladamir Gustave some eighty years or so before the first novel, The Gustave Station. This station differs from most starships in that it is capable of making Earth-type planets, rather than searching for Earth-like planets to colonies. The Gustave Station was in orbit around Earth for about eighty years, more or less. In The Gustave Station the station had suffered from neglect for many years. It was finished twenty years before, but the government wouldn't fund the flight so the station was allowed to deteriorate.
